Nokia recently released Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 in the U.S and other major markets on contract and contract-free. The U.S based telecom companies are merely relying on the 4G capabilities of Nokia Lumia 920 in order to showcase their recently adopted 4G network.
Hey, that’s Okay for U.S or UK but what about India and China where these devices are yet to be released. As per the earlier report of ours, Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 are heading to India and are about to release in the first week of December.
Airtel has already made its presence in the 4G sector with no other competitor involved as of yet but sadly airtel’s network is not the one found in the U.S or any of the European countries. The Eastern countries have chosen to adopt FD-Lte which runs on 2100 and 2600 MHz band where as India decided to go for TD-Lte which run on 2300MHz band which is incompatible with the top-notch devices that support LTE.
Recently, 2G auction ended and there’s a strong possibility that the telecom ministry (DOT) is going to auction the 700MHz band (got cleared for 4G early this year) to the bidders in the coming months. Till then no support for Lumia 920 or 820, Samsung Galaxy S3 or iPhone. The only thing can be done is either avoid 4G until it gets cheaper and superior in network or use any of the data cards available from your service provider.
