The newly released Nokia Lumia 920 and its younger sibling Lumia 820 will be hitting Indian shore in 1st week of December. According to BGR, the Nokia Lumia 920 won’t be coming to India this month i.e November as it was an error from Nokia side to mention India in the list of top notch countries getting Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 in the month of November.
However, the website clearly specifies that a Nokia India spokesperson has confirmed the same to them and Nokia India will announce the availability details as soon as they freeze on the launch date.
To check the same, I called Nokia Careline this evening, and as soon as I asked the customer representative about the pricing and availability of Lumia 920, he readily replied that we are not sure about what the price will be (because they can’t reveal the price before the launch) but he is sure that both these Windows phone 8 devices are going to be launched in the first week of December.
Also, BGR states that the Nokia India representative have made it clear to them that they will be revealing the actual launch date and price as soon as they complete their test with all the carriers available in India in order to prevent any post-launch issue.
The Lumia 920 carries a bundle of specs such as a hefty 8.7Mp Pureview camera for excellent low light and shake free pictures, a dual krait processor clocked at 1.5GHz packed with 1gigabytes of RAM, a solid looking design, 4.5in Puremotion HD+ screen with refresh rate 60Hz/sec built inside the curved Gorrila Glass and 32GB of inbuilt memory.
On the other hand, the younger sibling, Nokia Lumia 820 comes with 1.5GHz dual core processor with 1 GB of RAM, 8GB of inbuilt memory which is expandable through Sd cards upto 64GB, 4.3in diplay with screen resolution of 800×640 unlike its older brother which carries a resolution of 1280×768 with 332ppi.
Both these devices run on Microsoft’s latest, Windows Phone 8 and come with some of the no-where-found services from Nokia like Nokia music which gives freedom to download upto 4.5 million songs, Nokia drive, Nokia Maps(considered as one of the best mapping services) etc. Also they support Wireless charging to make everyday life easier and faster.
