Samsung develops 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 128GB NAND Flash for Mobile Devices
Going by the recent developments, we’re going to see some powerful devices coming out by next year. Samsung has confirmed to have started mass production of the 2GB low power DDR3 RAM for mobile devices. The 30nm RAM is said to be 50 percent faster than the current LPDDR2 RAM and achieves a data transfer speed of up to 1600Mbps per pin.
Samsung also confirmed to be mass producing 128GB embedded memory that will be used in mobile phones and tablets. In addition to high capacity storage, the new memory uses NAND memory with toggle DDR 2.0 interface, supports JEDEC v4.5 specification and achieves a read speed of up to 140MB/s.
